The Pittsburgh Pirates came up short in their pursuit of reliever Derrick Turnbow. Turnbow has agreed to terms with the Texas Rangers on a minor league deal that could be worth $1.25M if he makes the 25 man roster.
BTW Take:
While not a huge hit to the Pirates, Turnbow could have solidified the back end of the bullpen. It should be interesting where Huntington directs his attention now.
