Post-Game Notes

The Pirates fell to the Marlins 4-3 in a game where Zach Duke struggled. Duke still managed to go 7 innings allowing only 2 runs. Duke was in line to earn the win if the bullpen held up.

Adam LaRoche is shaking hands with Mr Mendoza after raising his average to .197 after a 3 for 4 day with two RBI and his first homer in PNC as a Pirate.

Matt Caps scored the loss after giving up 2 runs in the 8th on consecutive 1 out hits by the Marlins.

It looks as if the Slumber Company is back as players not named LaRoche accounted for 3 hits.
