LHP RANDY WOLF (2-1, 4.00):
The 30-year-old left-hander is making his fourth start of the 2007 season and 198th appearance in the big leagues…will make his 1934th start and fourth as a Dodger…previously played his entire eight-year career with the Phillies
Is 3-1 with a 3.48 ERA (16 ER/41.1 IP) in six career games against the Pirates…did not face Pittsburgh last season
Earned the victory on Jackie Robinson Day, defeated the Padres 9-3 on April 15 at Dodger Stadium
Had his career-high nine-game winning streak (May 3, 2005-Sept. 17, 2006) snapped April 3 against the Brewers …during the streak, Wolf was 9-0 in 19 starts with a 4.29 ERA (48 ER/100.2 IP)
Has gone exactly 6.0 innings in each of his first three starts…two of his three outings have been quality starts
Grew up in West Hills and in his home ballpark, Dodger Stadium, has a career mark of 2-2 with a 4.11 ERA (21 ER/46.0 IP), not including his two starts in high school while playing for El Camino Real in the L.A. City Championship game
At his last start, several local Dodger fans including a former college teammate of Wolf’s at Pepperdine continued the Wolf Pack, as they sat in the left field bleachers with wolf masks…the rooting section originated during his time in Philadelphia, where a group of Wolf’s fans didn’t miss a single one of his starts in eight season
