Post-Game Notes

Pirates lose 10-2 to Los Angeles in an absolutely horrible game.

Nady once again provides all the offense driving in Jack Wilson (1 for 3) twice. Jason Bay went 2 for 4. Captain K-man Adam LaRoche struck out 3 more times while walking once, he is now batting .100.

Victor Santos, er uh....Tony Armas allowed 8 runs in 2 2/3 innings of what some are forced to call pitching.

I fault Tracy for the last two outings by Duke and Armas. Armas had a 8.00 ERA at Dodger Stadium for his career. Why would you start him today when he could have started the last game in Milwaukee? It is not as if he wasn't rested. Maybe he would have faired better in Milwaukee. Maybe Duke would have faired better against LA. Who knows?

At any rate, the most disturbing moment of the night was Armas looking in the dugout after giving up his 5th run of the game in the third, almost begging to be yanked, but Tracy couldn't read his body language. Armas had clearly already given up at that point.

Pitiful.
