Post-Game Notes

The Bullpen did a nice job keeping the Brewers off the board.

The Offense made a late rally to make the game look close.

The Pirates still lost 7-5, but not without a fight.

Zach Duke dug a whole too deep for the Pirates to recover. Duke allowed 7 runs on 11 hits in 4 innings pitched. Not exactly the rebound game the Pirates were hoping for. Dukes ERA now sits at 9.00 for the season after his second poor outing in a row.

Xavier Nady once again supplied the offense going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Nady Hit his third home run of the season. Nady has shown his worth early in the season offensively.

Jose Bautista went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Chris Duffy rounded out the offensive leaders going 2 for 5.

Freddy Sanchez had a very rough day striking out 4 times in 5 at bats. He may still be in spring training mode due to his knee injury early in the Grapefruit League Season.

Jeff Suppan got the win for the Brewers and Francisco Cordero earned a save in a game where there should not have been an opportunity.
